About the Artist:
Born in 1974, Devajyoti Ray is one of the emergeing talents in India. His first solo show abroad had induced the Southall IAC to call him as the "....face of new Indian art." And then in 2004, The Telegraph has described him as the most promising among the new generation of artists in India.
But all that had happened long time back. In the past two years Ray has grown from strength to strength with whirlwind tour of many countries and participations at important art events around the world. With 8 solo shows, 16 group shows and 4 major participations, Ray is today firmly established as an important artist for future to reckon.
